Save and manage custom quote views

Custom quote views let you save a set of quote filters, sorting, and visible columns as a named tab on the Quotes screen. Each saved view opens as its own tab beside the built-in All tab and reapplies its stored filters, sorting, and columns whenever you select it.

Use custom views for recurring quote queues rather than one-time searches. A clear view name tells your sales team what work the tab supports.

Save a custom quote view

The Save view control appears on the All tab only when at least one filter or sort is active on the quote list. With no filters and no sorting, there is nothing to save and the control is hidden.

  1. Open Sales > Quotes.
  2. Stay on the All tab.
  3. Apply the filters, sorting, and column selection you want to keep.
  4. Select Save view, the dashed-underline link with a star icon next to the active filters.
  5. In the Save view dialog, type a name in the View name field. The placeholder is Enter view name.
  6. Select Save view to create the view.

While the view is being created, the button shows Saving…. On success the dialog closes and the new view appears as a tab beside All.

Before saving, confirm the current filters return the quotes you expect. A view saved with overly narrow filters can make quotes look missing when you open the tab later.

View name is required

The View name field is required. If you leave it empty, the dialog shows This field is required and does not save the view.

What a custom quote view stores

A saved quote view keeps:

  • The sort order applied to the quote list.
  • The visible columns.
  • The active filters.

The view is saved specifically for the quote list, so it always opens against the Quotes screen. Selecting a view tab reloads that saved definition before it shows the grid.

Open a custom quote view

Select the saved view’s tab. Qoblex loads the saved definition and applies the stored filters, sorting, and column visibility to the quote grid.

Custom view tabs appear to the right of All and are ordered by their saved position.

Edit a custom quote view

You update a saved view from its own tab. The Edit view control appears next to the active filters on the view’s grid.

  1. Open the custom quote view’s tab.
  2. Adjust filters, sorting, or visible columns on the grid if you want to change what the view stores.
  3. Select Edit view (the dashed-underline link with a pencil icon).
  4. In the Edit view : “ dialog, update the name in the View name field if needed. The dialog also lists the view’s current sorting and filters for reference.
  5. Select Save view to save the changes.

While the update is in progress, the save button shows Saving…. On success Qoblex replaces the saved view with the current filters, sorting, and visible columns.

In the Edit view dialog, the sorting and filters shown are read-only. To change them, adjust sorting and filtering on the grid first, then reopen Edit view and save.

Delete a custom quote view

You delete a view from the same Edit view dialog.

  1. Open the custom quote view’s tab.
  2. Select Edit view.
  3. In the dialog, select Delete (the button at the bottom left of the dialog).
  4. In the Confirm deletion of view “ dialog, confirm the message Are you sure you want to delete the view ““? and the warning This action cannot be undone and the view will be permanently removed.
  5. Select Delete to remove the view.

Deleting a custom quote view cannot be undone. After a successful delete, the tab is removed and Qoblex returns you to the All tab. Deleting a view does not delete any quote records.

The view tab will not load
If Qoblex cannot fetch a saved view, it shows An error occurred while fetching the view data. Return to the All tab and reopen the view tab. If the problem persists, recreate the view from the All tab.
Saving a view fails
If the view cannot be created or updated, Qoblex shows Failed to save the custom view, unless the server returns a more specific message. Check that the View name is filled in, then try again.
Deleting a view fails
If the delete cannot complete, Qoblex shows Failed to delete the custom view, unless the server returns a more specific message. Reopen the Edit view dialog and try the delete again.

Creating, editing, and converting quotes

Custom views only change how the quote list is filtered and displayed. To create a quote, edit its lines, or convert it to a sales order, open the quote in the sale-order workspace. See Create and edit sales orders and Sales order statuses and actions.
