Your own profile holds the personal side of your Qoblex account: your display name, your email address, the actions that protect your login, and the language you see the app in. It lives on the same screen your organization uses to manage teammates, so this article shows you how to find your own record there and what each control does.
This article covers opening your own profile, changing your display name, resetting your password, turning on two-factor authentication, and setting your timezone and preferred language. It also covers a limitation worth knowing before you start: reaching any of this currently depends on one specific permission.
Open your profile
- Select Users from the main navigation.
- Find your own card. It carries a diagonal You ribbon in the corner so you do not mistake it for a teammate’s.
- Select your card.
Qoblex opens a side panel titled Update User, with three tabs: Permissions, Security, and Preferences. The panel opens on Permissions by default, so select Security or Preferences for what this article covers.
Your name and email
At the top of the panel, the first box holds your display name, shown throughout Qoblex (it shows User Name as placeholder text only when the field is empty, so an existing account will not see it there). It is required; clearing it and saving shows This field is required.
Below it, the second box holds your email address and is greyed out: you cannot change it here (it likewise shows User Email as placeholder text only when empty). Point at Change your email, next to it, for an explanation rather than a form: To change this email, add a new user with the new email, log out, accept the invitation sent to the new email, join the organization, then delete the old user. Security
Select the Security tab. It reads Manage this user’s login and account security settings.
Reset your password
The Password Reset row explains itself as “This operation will log you out so you can enter a new password.” Selecting Reset Password opens the same Forgot password page you would reach from the sign-in screen:
- Enter your email and select Send Reset Link.
- Qoblex emails you a link. Open it to reach Reset your password.
- Enter and confirm a new password, then select Reset my password.
On success, Qoblex sends you to the sign-in page, where you sign back in with the new password.
Two-factor authentication
Enable two factor authentication is described as Add an extra verification step when signing in. The button always reads Enable 2FA, whether or not two-factor authentication is already on; Qoblex does not check your current status before showing it. Selecting it opens a page headed Enable multi-factor authentication:
- Install an authenticator app that supports time-based one-time codes (Authy, Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, and similar apps all work).
- Scan the QR code, or enter the key shown on the page, into that app. Spaces and casing do not matter.
- Enter the code the app generates and select Submit.
Qoblex verifies the code and shows Setup Complete, confirming Your account is now protected with Two Factor Authentication. Selecting Back to Dashboard returns you to Qoblex.
Preferences
Select the Preferences tab. It reads Customize your account settings and adjust your preferences for the web platform.
- Timezone — the timezone your own dates and times display in. Optional; empty shows Select timezone until you pick one. This is separate from your organization’s timezone, covered in Company Information.
- Prefered Language — العربية, English, Français, or Español, in that order. Changing it applies immediately and is remembered by the browser you are using; it does not need Save. Qoblex shows a note under it: English is the only fully supported language for now. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve our multilingual capabilities.
Because the language preference is saved to the browser rather than your Qoblex account, switching browsers or devices resets it to English until you set it again there.
Changing your timezone, unlike your language, is part of the same form as your name: select Save at the bottom of the panel to keep it. A successful save also closes the panel.
What Qoblex does automatically
- Selecting Reset Password or Enable 2FA always takes you to the same setup pages, regardless of your current password-reset or two-factor status.
- Confirming a new password through the emailed reset link signs you out of the old password immediately; you sign back in with the new one.
- Changing Prefered Language takes effect the moment you choose it, with no separate save step.
- Saving User Name or Timezone applies immediately once the save succeeds, and closes the panel; nothing else asks you to confirm again.
