Once ShipStation is connected, you can push your sales orders to it straight from the Orders list. You pick the orders you want, choose Send to Shipstation, review or adjust the carrier and service for that batch, and Qoblex hands each order to ShipStation as a shipment. You then buy the labels and ship the orders inside ShipStation.
This article covers where the action lives, what the Send to Shipstation dialog asks for, what happens when you send, and what to do next. Sending pushes your orders to ShipStation only; it does not create, dispatch, or change anything in Qoblex, and the order does not have to be shipped first.
Send orders from the Orders list
- Go to Sales > Orders.
- Select one or more orders in the list.
- Open the Actions menu. Under the Shipstation heading, choose Send to Shipstation.
- The Send to Shipstation dialog opens. Review or adjust the shipping options (see below), then send.
The Send to Shipstation action only appears when the ShipStation integration is connected. If you do not see it, connect ShipStation first (see Connect and configure ShipStation).
You can also send a single order from its detail screen: open the order and use the Send to Shipstation action there. It opens the same dialog for that one order.
Choose the shipping options for this batch
At the top, the dialog shows the note “Review or adjust the shipping options before sending shipments to Shipstation. These settings apply to this batch only and do not change your saved defaults.”
Below the note are four selectors, prefilled from your saved default shipping settings:
- Carrier — the shipping carrier to use. The carrier list comes from your ShipStation account.
- Service — the carrier service level. The choices depend on the carrier you pick.
- Package — the packaging option for the chosen carrier.
- Confirmation — the delivery confirmation level. Options are None, Delivery, Signature, Adult Signature, and Direct Signature.
You must choose a Carrier, a Service, and a Package before you can send. Confirmation defaults to None.
What happens when you send
When you send, Qoblex confirms with a toast such as “3 order(s) are being sent to Shipstation in the background.” and closes the dialog. The orders are queued and pushed to ShipStation in the background, so you can keep working while it runs.
Behind the scenes, Qoblex places the batch on a dedicated ShipStation work queue and then, for each selected order, pushes it to ShipStation as a shipment using the carrier, service, package, and confirmation you chose. The shipment is keyed on the order, so sending the same order again updates that same ShipStation shipment instead of creating a duplicate.
While a send is running, a banner appears above the Orders list: “Orders are being sent to Shipstation. The results will appear in the activity feed as soon as the operation is complete.”
Two facts worth knowing:
- Nothing changes locally in Qoblex. Sending only pushes each order to ShipStation. It does not create, dispatch, or change anything in Qoblex, and the order does not need to be shipped, packed, or dispatched first.
- A rejected order does not block the rest. If ShipStation rejects one order in the batch, only that order fails; the other orders in the batch still go through.
What to do next
The orders now sit in your ShipStation account as shipments. Buy the shipping labels and ship the orders inside ShipStation, the same way you normally work there. Labels are bought in ShipStation, not in Qoblex.
