Most Shopify issues fall into two groups: the settings page refuses to save, or something in Shopify is not showing up in Qoblex the way you expect. Almost all of these come from a setting you can change yourself on the Shopify settings page, so before you contact anyone, it is worth checking the sync directions, location mappings, and price lists you chose when you connected the store.
This article lists the symptoms and blocking messages you may see, with the fix for each. After reading it you will be able to clear the save-blocking validations on the settings page, understand why a Shopify change did or did not flow into Qoblex, and know when to fall back to a manual import.
When Qoblex cannot load your store details or your Shopify locations, it shows “Oops, there was a problem a little glitch! please refresh the page or re-install your shopify integration.” and sends you back to the integrations list.
This usually means the selected store is no longer connected to this Qoblex company, or the connection can no longer read your store. Refresh the page first. If it happens again, open the store from the integrations list and reconnect it, and confirm you are working in the Qoblex company that owns that store.
If your access scopes are out of date, the settings page shows a banner reading “Update your integration to grant Qoblex the necessary permissions for seamless store management.” with an Update button. The same thing can happen when loading locations fails on a permissions error, which opens the update-scopes dialog.
Click Update, complete the Shopify authorization prompt, then return to Qoblex and retry your save or import. Until the scopes are granted, Qoblex may be unable to read locations or manage your store.
A product import reads the catalog from your connected store, so an empty or partial result points back at the store and the connection rather than at Qoblex. Confirm you selected the correct store, that its permissions are current (see the update-permissions row above), and that the products you expect are present in that Shopify store.
[!info] The import runs in the background and can take a few minutes depending on how many products you have. Qoblex emails you when the import finishes, so wait for that email before deciding a product is missing.
If Shopify has more store locations than you have locations in Qoblex, the save is rejected with: “You have more locations in Shopify than in your Qoblex Account. Click Create Location next each Shopify location to create a corresponding entry in Qoblex”.
In the Location Mapping section, use the Create location button next to each unmapped Shopify location to add the matching Qoblex location, then save again. Every Shopify location needs a Qoblex location to map to.
If you point two Shopify locations at the same Qoblex location, the save is rejected with a message naming the location: “Location [name] in Qoblex is mapped to multiple locations in Shopify. Please check your location mappings under Location Mappings section above”.
Open the Location Mapping section and give each Shopify location its own distinct Qoblex location, then save again.
The Pricing Synchronization section enforces a few rules before it will save. You may see any of these messages:
- “Price and Compare At price lists must be different” – choose a different list for the Compare At price than for the Price.
- “Price and Compare At price lists must have the same currency” – pick two lists that share a currency.
- “Price price list must have the same currency as your store (
<currency>)” – and the matching “Compare At price list must have the same currency as your store (<currency>)”, where<currency>is your store currency code – choose lists whose currency matches your Shopify store currency.
Fix whichever lists are flagged under “Which price list would you like to assign to your product prices on your store?” and its Compare At counterpart, then save again.
This appears when your Shopify store currency differs from your Qoblex base currency and no exchange rate exists for that store currency yet. Qoblex needs the rate to store your Shopify prices in your base currency.
In the Pricing Synchronization section, use the Setup Exchange rate button (shown under the “Currency setup” note) to define the rate, then save again.
Whether Qoblex listens for product changes in Shopify depends on your sync directions. Qoblex only subscribes to Shopify product create, update, and delete events when at least one of your product information or pricing settings is set to bring data from Shopify to Qoblex.
To turn this on, open the settings page and set one of these to a Shopify-source direction, then save:
- In the Product Synchronization section, set “How would you like us to sync your products information?” to Sync from Shopify to Qoblex or Sync both ways.
- In the Pricing Synchronization section, set “How would you like us to sync your product prices?” to Sync from Shopify to Qoblex.
If both of those are set to “Do not sync” or “Sync from Qoblex to Shopify”, Qoblex is not registered to receive product changes from Shopify, so edits made in Shopify will not appear in Qoblex. The Inventory levels Synchronization control only offers “Do not sync” and “Sync from Qoblex to Shopify”, so it cannot make Qoblex listen for Shopify changes. See How Shopify product and inventory sync works for what each direction does.
[!info] Order, refund, and fulfillment events are always received once the store is connected. Only product change events depend on the sync direction you chose.
