02. Find and Review Users

The Users page lists everyone in your organization as a grid of cards and lets you search the team by name or email. It is where you go before changing someone’s access, before inviting a new person, or when you need to check whether an invitation has been accepted.

After reading this article you will be able to open the Users page, search the team list, read what each user card tells you at a glance, and open a user to review or change their details.

Open the Users page

Open Users from the main navigation. The page shows your team as a grid of user cards, with a toolbar across the top holding the Search user by name, email box, the Invite Partner button, and the Create User button.

The whole Users page is access-controlled, not just its toolbar. Viewing the Users area is a permission: if your account does not have it, the Users item does not appear in the navigation, and opening the page directly shows an access-denied page instead of the user grid — you will not see the cards or the toolbar at all.

Search for a user

Type into the Search user by name, email box at the top of the page. Qoblex waits briefly after you stop typing, then filters the list to users whose name or email contains what you typed.

Searching is handled by Qoblex’s server, not just in your browser, so the result is the full set of matching team members and not only the cards already on screen. Your search term is added to the page address, so you can bookmark or share a filtered view.

To return to the full list, clear the search box.

Search by email when two people have similar names, or to check whether someone was already invited under a particular address before you create a new user for them.

Before inviting a new person, search for their email first. If a card already comes up, that person is already in your organization (their invitation may still be pending) and you do not need to invite them again.

If nothing matches, the page shows No users Found with “your search” and Try different search. Clear the box to see everyone again.

Read a user card

Each card shows what you need to identify a team member at a glance:

  • Avatar — a coloured circle with the person’s initials, taken from their name.
  • Name — the user’s display name.
  • Verified-email badge — a check badge next to the name. It is coloured when the email is verified and greyed out when it is not. Hover over it to see This user email is already verified. or Email is not verified yet !.
  • Email — the user’s email address, shown below the name.
  • You ribbon — a diagonal You ribbon across the corner of your own card, marking the account you are signed in with.
  • Has-not-joined-yet note — an amber This user has not joined yet line on cards for people who have been added but have not yet accepted their invitation.

Use the You ribbon to avoid changing your own account by mistake, and the This user has not joined yet note to spot people who still need to accept their invitation before they can sign in.

A “has not joined yet” user can still be reviewed and have their permissions set. The person simply cannot sign in until they accept their invitation.

Open a user

Click any user card to open the Update User panel, which slides in from the side with that person’s details and permissions. From there you can review and change their information and access.

Reviewing access is almost always better than adding a duplicate user: if someone cannot reach a part of Qoblex, check their permissions in the Update User panel rather than creating a second account or sending a second invitation to the same email. See Update a user for the full panel.

What to check when reviewing a user

When you open a user to review them, confirm:

  • their name and email address are correct;
  • whether their email is verified (the badge by the name);
  • whether they have joined, or still have the This user has not joined yet note;
  • whether this is your own account (the You ribbon);
  • the permissions assigned to them match the access they should have.

Avoid deleting a user just to remove one area of access. If the person still belongs to your organization, change their permissions instead.

Troubleshooting

I cannot open the Users page, or it shows access denied
Viewing the Users area is a permission, and it gates the whole page. If you do not have it, the Users item is hidden from the navigation and opening the page directly shows an access-denied page rather than the user grid. Ask an administrator in your organization to grant you access to Users.
My search returns no one
Qoblex matches your text against the name and email of users in your organization. Check for typos, try a shorter piece of the name or email, and remember that deleted users are not shown. Clear the search box to see the full list again.
A user I expected is missing from the list
Clear the search box first — a filter may still be applied. If they are still not there, they may not have been added yet, or they may have been deleted. Search by their email before creating a new user to avoid adding a duplicate.
The page keeps showing the loading placeholders and never loads the cards
Qoblex could not load the users list and shows the message Failed to fetch users list rather than out-of-date cards. Refresh the page and try again. If it still fails, confirm you have access to the Users area and note the on-screen message before contacting support.
The verified-email badge is greyed out
That user’s email has not been verified yet (hovering shows Email is not verified yet !). The person needs to accept their invitation and verify their email; until then the badge stays greyed out.
