Switch to Qoblex

WooCommerce sync settings at go-live

This is the switch itself for a connected WooCommerce store, the WooCommerce counterpart to Shopify sync settings at go-live. It belongs at the same point in Cutover day, step by step: after your stocktakes are in Draft, before you authorize them.

If you connected this store early and paused it per Set up Qoblex before you switch above, keep Inventory levels Synchronization, Product Synchronization and Pricing Synchronization at Do not sync while you’re setting up and rehearsing.

Switching Inventory levels Synchronization to Sync from Qoblex to WooCommerce doesn’t push anything to WooCommerce by itself, the same rule as Shopify: the push fires only the next time a variant’s quantity or allocation actually changes in Qoblex, which is exactly why cutover day turns this on before you authorize your stocktakes, purchase orders, and open orders.

  1. Open your WooCommerce store’s settings and, in Inventory levels Synchronization, set the dropdown to Sync from Qoblex to WooCommerce.
  2. Under Which warehouse inventory levels are reflected in your WooCommerce store?, select every Qoblex location that should feed this store. Qoblex adds the available quantity of each selected location together and writes that single combined total to WooCommerce, replacing whatever figure is already there — it’s an absolute overwrite, not an adjustment.
  3. Save. From here, every quantity or allocation change you authorize in Qoblex pushes the new combined total to WooCommerce as it happens, and a manual stock change made directly in WooCommerce is overwritten on the next push.
  4. Set Product Synchronization and Pricing Synchronization to the directions that fit your business whenever you’re ready; neither is tied to the stock cutover. Choosing Sync from Qoblex to WooCommerce or Sync both ways for products, with Would you like to automatically sync new products created in Qoblex to WooCommerce? on, starts creating every new Qoblex product in your store.

See Connect WooCommerce and choose your sync settings and WooCommerce locations, currency, and price lists for where these controls live, and How WooCommerce product and inventory sync works for exactly how the push works once it’s on.

Matching strategy defaults to Match products by name for a new connection, the same as Shopify; set Match products by SKU before you import if you’re matching against a second system.

Order sync has no on/off setting of its own, same as Shopify, but WooCommerce does not queue an automatic historical-order import once your product import finishes. Qoblex sets up WooCommerce’s order notifications the first time you save the store’s settings, before any product import runs, and starts turning new and changed WooCommerce orders into Qoblex sale orders from that point on. WooCommerce doesn’t bring in your existing orders by itself. But any existing order that changes in WooCommerce after you connect — a status change, an edit, marking it Completed — comes into Qoblex then, through live sync, unlike a Shopify store’s existing open orders, which are pulled in automatically once its first product import finishes. Bring in the rest with the WooCommerce manual order import (see Import historical WooCommerce orders), not a CSV import.

See Import historical WooCommerce orders and Bring in open sale orders above.
