Quotes troubleshooting

Use this guide when the Quotes page, a saved custom view, or a single quote does not behave as expected. Each situation below maps to something the Quotes screen actually does, so you can tell an ordinary empty result apart from a real error.

Before you dig in, confirm which tab you are on. The Quotes page opens on the All tab, and each additional tab is a saved custom view with its own filters, columns, and sorting. A quote that looks missing on a custom view often reappears as soon as you switch back to All. Creating, editing, and converting a quote to an order all happen in the sale-order workspace, not on this list, so see Create and edit sales orders and Sales order statuses and actions for those steps.

Sales > Quotes is not in the menu

Quotes is a feature-flagged page. If you do not see Quotes under the Sales menu, the quotes feature is not enabled for your account.

  1. Confirm whether anyone else in your company can open Sales > Quotes.
  2. If no one can see it, treat it as a company-level feature that has not been turned on, and ask Qoblex support to enable it.
  3. If some users see it and others do not, compare their access before escalating.

Because the whole page is gated by the feature flag, this is not something you can switch on from the Quotes screen itself.

The Quotes table never loads

If the table stays as a loading skeleton and never fills in, Qoblex could not load the quote list. When the load fails, a toast also appears with the message An error occurred while fetching quotes.

  1. Refresh the page and wait for the table to load.
  2. If a custom view tab fails, open the All tab to check whether the base quote list loads on its own.
  3. If All loads but a saved view does not, the problem is with that view’s saved definition rather than with quotes in general.

A brief skeleton on first open is normal while the quote data loads. A skeleton that never resolves, together with the error toast above, points to a real loading failure.

A saved custom view will not open

When you open a custom view tab and see the toast An error occurred while fetching the view data, either the saved view definition or its quote results could not be loaded.

  1. Open the All tab to confirm the base quote list still works.
  2. If All loads, rebuild the view from All: add filters one at a time, confirm results still load, then save a new view.
  3. Do not keep reopening the same failing tab if All loads correctly.

This can happen after the fields, columns, or saved criteria behind a view change. See Save and manage custom quote views for how views are built and saved.

Saving a custom view fails

If you see the toast Failed to save the custom view when creating or updating a view, the save did not go through.

  1. Confirm the view has a name.
  2. Try saving again.
  3. If it still fails, refresh the page and recreate the view from the current filters, columns, and sorting.

Use a short, specific view name so teammates know what each tab is for. Updating a shared view replaces its saved definition for everyone, so avoid overwriting a useful team view while you experiment with filters.

Deleting a custom view fails

If you see the toast Failed to delete the custom view, the view was not removed.

  1. Refresh the page and try deleting again from the view’s tab.
  2. If the tab still appears after a refresh, another session may have already changed or removed it. Ask Qoblex support to check the view’s state.

When a view is deleted successfully, Qoblex sends you back to the first Quotes tab automatically.

No quotes appear on the table

An empty table shows No data available with the hint Try to refresh the page or change the filter. This usually means your active filters exclude every quote, not that quotes are missing.

  1. Clear the active filters or widen any date-range filters.
  2. Check whether you are on a custom view tab that carries its own saved filters, and switch to All to compare against the unfiltered list.
  3. If you filtered on a custom field, confirm that field actually exists on the quotes in the current results.

Custom-field filter options are built from the quotes currently returned to the table. If no quote in the current results carries that field, its filter option will not appear.

The products cell shows 0 or opens empty

The products cell shows a count of line items for each quote and can always be clicked. If the count is 0, that quote has no product lines recorded, and opening it shows an empty Products list.

  1. Open the quote in the sale-order workspace to review the full record.
  2. Confirm whether the quote was saved with product lines or with only customer and header details.

See Inspect quote products for how the products cell and its details modal work, and Create and edit sales orders for adding product lines.

The columns or sorting look wrong

If the table hides fields you expect, or the order looks off, you are most likely viewing a custom view with its own saved column choices and sort order.

  1. Review the columns shown and the current sorting on the active tab.
  2. Adjust the visible columns and sorting to what you need.
  3. Save the layout as a new view with a clear, descriptive name so the change does not disturb other tabs.

See Customize quote columns and sorting for the full controls.

What to collect before contacting support

To help support reproduce the problem, note:

  • the quote number, if a single quote is affected
  • the tab or custom view name you were on
  • the active filters and sorting
  • the exact error message shown, if any
  • whether the All tab loads
  • whether other users see the same issue

If only one quote is affected, add the customer name, the quote’s created date, and whether it has product lines. If a saved view is affected, add the columns, sorting, and filters you expect so the view can be rebuilt if its saved definition is no longer valid.
